El Fideo, or simply Di Maria as he is being called by his fans and teammates, will leave his club Real Madrid for the English giant Manchester United. For a rumored price of 75m euros plus possible additions he will become the most expensive player ever in the Premier League.
As he came in 2010, El Fideo was one the players that was a typical Mourinho player; a hardworking, disciplined player whose defensive contribution was maybe the highest of all attacking players at Real Madrid. In 4 seasons, we as football fans managed to see the good and bad of him. ''Hot and cold'' would be the best way to describe Di Maria's moment at Real Madrid. There were plenty moments where you literally wanted to throw your tv remote control to your tv screen out of frustration as Di Maria was losing every ball, failing to give good passes and running around like a headless chicken.
But there were also plenty of moments when you could smile or even scream out of joy when El Fideo was giving perfect passes, trying good shots and running his ass off like a machine, aimed to be great.
His most noteworthy moment at Real Madrid is probably the solo run in extra time in the UCL Final against Atletico Madrid where he got past by 2 Atletico defenders and shot on goal, where Bale scored after that.
Adios, El Fideo and Gracias.
